CSULB Luminescence Lab
We have a Risø TL/OSL reader housed in a dark room with sample prep space. My students and I primarily use luminescence dating to determine the ages of fluvial and marine terrace deposits to calculate rock uplift rates, fault slip rates, and depositional histories. We also occasionally take in contract samples from local geotechnical firms to assist with sediment dating from fault trenches to determine fault slip histories.
We have several drones for field collection of high-resolution topographic data:

- One DJI Matrice 600 Pro equipped with a Velodyne VLP 16 LiDAR scanner (shown in picture)

- Two DJI Phantom 4's for collecting visual data and constructing Structure-from-Motion digital elevation models
